Review - Monster Prick by Kendall Ryan

Title: Monster Prick
Author: Kendall Ryan
Release Date: November 17, 2015

Over my dead body.

That's what I told Gracie when she informed me of her plan to pick some random guy she met online to get rid of her pesky virginity.

If anyone is touching her, it's going to be me.

I shouldn't even be considering it, but I can't get it out of my head: her, under me, begging me.

***
Arrogant. Cocky. Prick.

Those are the words I’d use to describe my older brother’s dangerously handsome best friend.

When he learned of my plan to kick off my white cotton briefs, ditching my good girl persona once and for all by losing my virginity to the first eligible bachelor I could find, he flipped out. Said over his dead body.

He says if anyone’s going to do it, it’s going to be him.

I hate that I’m even considering his offer.

But I am … I sooo am.

Ever since he suggested it, all I can think about is his cocky smile on those full lips as he’s driving in to me.

But if we cross that line … will I ever be able to go back?

MONSTER PRICK is a spin off novella from SCREWED, but can be read as a standalone, as it features a new couple.

I was so excited that Kendall Ryan decided to give us Hudson and Gracie’s story! We met both of them in Screwed, Hayden and Emery’s story, and I couldn’t wait to find out what would happen between them.

“I swallow back the urge to touch her. Smell her, taste her…stop it, Hudson. I’m noticing everything about Gracie and I can’t turn it off.”

When his best friend, Hayden’s little sister, decides she wants to lose her virginity at the age of 22 to a random guy, Hudson decides that it is not acceptable and that he will take the task on. He will give her three lessons about sex, how to be pleasured, and how to please a guy. Gracie can’t resist since she’s been in love with Hudson for as long as she can remember.

“How’s that for chemistry? Did I pass your test?” His tone drops from smugness into something deeper, something primal that tugs between my legs. “Are your little white panties soaked right now?”

The two have instant chemistry and it is sizzling! I loved seeing the two together and Gracie’s eagerness to learn. But do the two end up together? Or is it just a fling? You will have to read and find out. It was a quick, sweet, sexy read that I really enjoyed! I would have liked a bit more development at times, but since it was a novella, I can understand why it wasn’t always there. I can’t wait to read more of Ms. Ryan’s work has she never disappoints!

Ooh, yes. I'm loving Kendall Ryan, and her sexy, fun books, and this quickie was a great book to curl up under a blankie with!

Grace wants to cash in her v-card, and she's decided that internet dating is the best course of action, but her big brother's jerk of a best friend, Hudson, says NO. Bad idea. He'll help her, he says. Worse idea. Or the best idea he's ever had?!

Grace and Hudson, WHEW. This whirlwind of a book—said with affection, just FYI—was over too fast, but only because I loved the premise, enjoyed the characters and engaged in the story here.

Hudson was completely swoony. The connection between he and Gracie was palpable, and I really enjoyed seeing him try to justify his decision to help her pop her cherry, and go behind his friend's back in doing so. He wasn't, I must add, as much of a Monster Prick as the title suggests; instead he's pretty much perfect. And that worked for me.

I would have loved for this one to be longer—or just to have had a little something extra at the end to round it out a touch more—but it was still an ideal read for a cup of tea break, so I can't really complain, can I?

Holy Monster Prick! This was hysterical! From the very beginning I found myself laughing out loud. Thank goodness I live alone and my neighbors aren’t looking in my windows. They would have wondered what on earth I was doing!

Hudson is Hayden’s best friend and has the hots for Gracie…who is Hayden’s little sister. We all know that can be the kiss of death. Then Gracie tells the boys she’s ready to lose her virginity, and plans on doing it via online dating. You can imagine how that went over. Like a lead balloon!

Now…since this was a novella I want to say—GIVE ME MORE! More Hudson. More Gracie. Their chemistry was off the charts and they were hysterical. Or maybe only I got the comedy in this. But I really needed more. I felt like it was a bit rushed, but maybe because I just wanted MORE!

Laugh Out Loud Funny! Sexy! Even a bit sweet! More Monster Prick PLEASE :)
