 Title: Stolen Course
Series: Wrecked and Ruined #2
Author: Aly Martinez
Release Date: May 19, 2014

I fell in love with Manda Baker eight years ago, and I loved her to the core of her soul. We were supposed to have that elusive happily ever after and spend a lifetime together. But that was all before she was STOLEN from me.

Her best friend, Sarah Erickson, killed her. It wasn’t intentional. It was far worse. Everyone claims it was just an accident, but I can see through the lies. Even if it’s with my dying breath, I will make her pay for what she did.

Fate hates me. It robbed me of my first love and left me to navigate through this world emotionless and numb. Then, one day, spiteful fate gave me a woman to fill my shattered soul and make me feel again. It gave me Emma Jane Erickson. Now I spend my days searching for the answers that will ruin Sarah and my nights falling in love with her sister—the one person who is bound and determined to save her.

But what happens when everything you know to be true explodes around you? Who will be left to pick up the pieces, and who will need to be saved from the wreckage?

5 ‘Gorgeous’ Stars!

Captivating, touching, thrilling, and heartwarming -- these are some of the emotions that Aly Martinez got out of me from Stolen Course. After reading Changing Course, I honestly didn’t know how the other half of the story would go. I had a feeling that it would be at least a tad more tearjerker and boy was I right. The overwhelming sadness and pain from the first book were in a different level from Caleb and Em’s story.

Suffering from a very tragic loss, heartbreak and not letting go of the accident that changed their lives, Caleb harboured those feelings against the person who blamed for everything that has happened. That person who ruined and wrecked everything. But then he meets Emma, the light in his dark and the one person he felt opening up himself again to. Would their love for each other surpass all the hurt from their pasts? Would they be able to let go and forgive?

I love Aly Martinez’s style of writing, the way she build up the characters and captured the emotions from the story and transfer it to the reader, and most of all the brilliant storyline and the surprising twist were also very well done. I loved all the characters in Stolen Course, even Sarah at this point, they all portrayed such beautiful, important parts to the story and each one of them are lovable in their own ways. Funny, sweet, protective, and even frustrating, all their kinks and imperfections weren’t annoying to read.

Stolen Course is about fighting for the ones you love and what you believe in. Personally, this is what stuck with me. Fighting for love -- whether it be for your friends, lover, or family. If you love someone you fight for them and you stand by them no matter what.

From Changing Course and Stolen Course, I am looking forward to what Aly Martinez has up her sleeve again.

Stars: 5 stars!
Recommended to: Everyone who are looking for a good, emotional read that will tug your heartstrings.
POV: First person. Dual POV.
Series: Yes.
Cliffhanger: No.

So I am a little sad as I sit here and give my review on Stolen Course. Sad because I don't know what the hell I am going to do with myself now! I loved Caleb from the first book so when I found out he finally got his story I was so excited. I knew from Changing Course that he was going to be a tough one to crack but I had no idea how heart wrenching it was going to be to witness. When I think of a happily ever after, usually I am referring to a couple, not in this case. I wanted Caleb to find that peace he so desperately deserved. There were so many times throughout the book my heart just ached for him. A few scenes in particular that had me snotty nosed and running for the tissue.

This was the type of book that made me laugh, cry and gasp quite frequently. It can be read as a standalone but why deprive yourself of getting the whole story.

Aly Martinez decided to steer this series away from the everyday-cookie cutter romance novel. Don't get me wrong, I am usually the first in line to get those books, it was just out of the norm to what I usually read and I absolutely loved it!! I was hanging on to every single word.

If you want a series with a lot of "WHAT" and "OH MY GOD" moments, this is the book for you. Oh, and not to mention the SEX is HOT!! You can be crying one minute and in the next your panties will me melting off! Congratulations to Aly Martinez on an excellent series and an unforgettable new release. Caleb forever holds a piece of my heart. I will be anxiously waiting for the next one. I was so wrapped up in Caleb I forgot to mention that I give Stolen Course an amazing 5 STARS!!

☆☆☆☆☆ 5 Caleb Jones Has Stole My Heart Stars ☆☆☆☆☆

OMG!!! I am absolutely in love with Stolen Course by Aly Martinez.  Hands down Stolen Course is in my top favorites of 2014. This book was AH-MAZZZZING!!! I’m completely smitten and in love with Caleb Jones and Emma Erickson’s story. From the prologue to the very last page of this book, I was captivated by this emotional, moving, heartfelt journey of forgiveness, healing, second chances, and love.

Caleb Jones hatred of Sarah Erickson consumed him. His hate runs so deep after a fatal accident that altered and shaped the lives of four people. That tragic night changed the course of friendships and relationship. Caleb’s life was filled with anger and hate that he was an empty shell of his former self. For years, he was living in the dark till Emma Erickson walked into his life and brought back light into his eyes. Behind Caleb’s eyes, lies a man who found light, love, and the meaning to live.

The emotional and beautiful journey of two unlikely strangers finding love was truly breathtaking and moving. They say hate consumes you but to witness Caleb’s transformation of letting go and moving on was what truly consumed me.  Emma’s love for her sister and Caleb stole my heart. I loved how Emma didn’t let Caleb and Sarah  make her choose sides.

One word to describe Stolen Course: Captivating!!! This book blew my mind and I loved it. I am in awe of Aly’s writing and storytelling. This is unlike any story that I have read and I am bewitched of how Aly was able to weave so many elements of grief, loss, second chances, forgiveness, and love all into this story. She literally took her readers on a roller-coaster ride of emotions. Caleb, Emma, Manda, and Sarah’s emotional journey literally gutted my heart. These characters were portrayed so honest and raw that I felt ever ounce of their pain, anger, hurt, heartbreak, guilt, loss, love, and happiness.  Stolen Course is a gripping and consuming tale of life coming to a full circle. Love heals. And the best gift in life is a second chance.  I can truly say that Aly Martinez wrote a beautiful, spell-binding and emotional story that will grip, touch, and stay with you.

P.S. Aly- I finally understand your obsession with vegetables now.. haha Thank you again for introducing us to Caleb! <3

Stolen Course was phenomenal. I stayed up all night reading it, I just couldn't put it down.

The vegetable rating happens a few times in this book. I'm a little bummed I didn't think of it with my best friends though. Haha.

This book had a whirlwind of emotions; happy, sad, heartbreaking, anger. I won't lie, I cried towards the end of this book. I thought the happy ending would be destroyed but alas it wasn't.

Who would have thought Caleb was so hot. All those tattoos, taut body, and butternut squash..woo-wee. He makes mistakes just like every person and I understand the darkness and hatred he had but at times I really just wanted to reach through the book and strangle him.

Emma, (Emmy) who would have thought Caleb would fall for an Erickson. She's the perfect match for him though. She pulled him out of the darkness and even helped him diminish the hatred.

I can't get over the happy ending though. It was perfect and just what Caleb needed. What Sarah needed as well.

This group has gone through a rough few years and it seems it all worked out in the end. Even their redheaded angel seemed to play a part in how everything happened.

Stolen Course was perfectly written. There was just enough story on the characters, enough to understand everything. And even the right amount of sex. It wasn't nonexistent but it also wasn't overpowering the story line.
