Release Day Blitz - Reclaimed by River Savage

Title: Reclaimed
Series: Knights Rebels MC #2.5
Author: River Savage
Release Date: February 17, 2015

When the woman you love is lost, how hard will you fight to get her back?

Following the birth of her daughter, Kadence Knight finds herself in a battle she never prepared for. With desperation and unhappiness threatening to overwhelm her, a sense of hopelessness pulls her away from the one thing she has always longed for: a family.

As Nix watches his wife struggle with something he doesn't understand, he can't help but feel disconnected to his woman. The Kadence he once knew has drifted into the darkness. In her place is a shadow of the woman she once was, one who is fearful of the impossible...failing their daughter.

This Valentine’s Day, Nix has one goal — to reclaim the woman who gave him everything.

*Please note this is a novella and features the characters from the previous storyline.

The events of Reclaimed take place after Incandescent and Affliction. Book one and two in the Knights Rebels MC.

To get the full advantage of the story, and character development, I strongly suggest you read in order.

I was extremely interested in the idea behind this novella. Why? Because I have been in Kadence's shoes. And I wanted to see how River Savage handled it...and how I handled it, too.

In the months after their daughter is born, Kadence and Nix find themselves struggling; Kadence with frustration and depression, Nix with frustration and helplessness. Will they be able to work through their problems and grab a hold of the love they once shared?

While not a long book, Reclaimed is no quick, easy read. Yes, there is steam and sizzle, and yes, you can knock it out in a hour or two, but no, it's not easy. And I can't, in all honesty, say I loved it, if for no other reason than that it brought up some painful memories for me. I do, however, think it was an excellent book.

I have to praise Ms. Savage for the real, raw, realistic depiction of Kadence's torment, and Nix's very male response. I wished that more time could have been dedicated to seeing her initial recovery though; the time hops, while propelling the story forward, a necessary evil when writing a novella, meant that some issues I'd like to see addressed felt a little glossed over.

The disaster they experienced was a little predictable - for me, anyway - but it was nevertheless amusing, and a good tension breaker. In fact, as a whole, Reclaimed was a sexy, thought-provoking book, well-balanced between the angst and the sexy/funny, and another great installment in the Knights Rebels series.

This is book 2.5 in the Knights Rebels series and is not standalone.

I loved reading about Nix and Kadence in Incandescent, so I was excited that they got this novella. Going into this, I knew that they were having some problems from reading the blurb and while reading the book, I just wanted to them to go back to being the old Nix and Kadence; the couple that bantered back and forth and were great for each other. But some relationships have rough spots.

It was great to see this strong couple who were at their lowest point fight their battles and come out on the other side better than before. It took a lot of help and pushing from Nix, but slowly they got back to their old selves. Of course, there were some hot scenes, accompanied by some laughs when things don't go quite as planned.

Overall, it was great to read about Nix and Kadence again. They are such a great couple and I love this series. It was also great to catch up with Sy and Holly and their new bundle of joy. I can't wait to read more from this series!

River Savage is the author of the Knights Rebels MC Series.

An avid reader of romance and erotic novels, her love for books and reading fueled her passion for writing. Reading no longer sated her addiction, so she started writing in secret. She never imagined that her dream of publishing a novel would ever be achievable.

With a soft spot for an alpha male and a snarky sassy woman, Kadence and Nix were born.
